In many cases we are involved directly with charities, especially local ones, although it is more common for us to be the supplier of beer for events that have a fundraising agenda. It is very rare for us to make financial contributions to the support of charities, unless it is money raised from beer sales through an event/project we have been a part of.
Over the past few years the number of requests we receive for fundraising support has increased massively, particularly as we have opened new outlets in new towns. With requests now coming through on an almost daily basis it is impossible for us to fulfil all requests and so we need to introduce some methods to filter them.
Often people ask if beer can really help them make money. Here’s a simple breakdown. If you purchase a 72-pint cask of Resolution at our typical “charity rate” and then sold that on at £3.50 a pint you would see a profit of over £135. It is an easy way to make extra money for your charity.
What would we like in return? A bit of advertising never hurts and really all we ask is that from time to time you pop to one our outlets and buy some beer and tell your friends about us.
